If one has a close look at the ten teams in this world cup, the two teams that start whacking from Ball One are: England and West Indies.

Pundits said that their bowling is the weak suite & that they have fabulous power-hitters all through.

Then today happened.

Well, Pakistan after scoring three 300+ (or was it 340+) scores on a trot, figured that there are ghosts in the Nottingham pitch where 481 runs were scored by England not too long ago!

Well, the ghosts were not as explicit as Russell initially & then by the storming Oshane Thomas - the only man whose ball Russell could not hit - he meant cricket ball, you see!

Pakistan have started well. Don't be surprised if they go onto win the cup. :))

Yesterday's answer was cracked by a number of people - aided by the hashtags, no doubt.

80 refers to Mercury's (Hg) atomic number.34 refers to Selenium's (Se) atomic number.Selenium is a better test automation tool than Mercury. All is well.But the reason Selenium was named as such was due to the fact that Se has the ability to be the antidote to Hg poisoning. And in a legendary moment, one of the original writers of Selenium test automation suite from Thoughtworks named it as Selenium as it can cure poisoning due to Mercury (their rival's software)!

Many missed the last bit.

Three very important events were happening on Thursday.

• Modi 2.0 was swearing in
• Jagan YSR Reddy was swearing in (Well, Stalin even had vermilion on his forehead!)
• World Cup 2019 was starting.

But, there was only one thing that was trending worldwide.

Yet, when the dust settled after the first game of #CWC2019, one could only feel one thing!

Poor SA, they would have thought that they had some chance after getting Tahir escorted Bairstow to the pavilion in the first over itself. Well...

England is looking so good, that the 1975, 1979 and most of 1983 West Indies teams are looking like 'bachchas'!

And that catch by Stokes!!! Sorry, lah! Cannot oredy!!

Day 1: Setting the Ground Rules

Welcome to #GQ2019!

Over the next 48 days, you have to bear with me. 

Guess Section:

To keep it simple, you have to do one thing.  

Fill out the Google Form sent via email to the participants.

1. Please, make sure you fill your email address & Name (helps me to filter out duplicates!)
2. Who will make it to the semi-finals? (worth $4 per guess)
3. Who will win the first game – EngVsSA and by what margin – please give both the run-margin and the wicket-margin to cover both angles. If you choose ‘No Result/Tie’ then choose the margins appropriately. (worth $2 per guess)

Multiple guesses are allowed. But you have to resubmit the form & remember each guess will cost some moolah!

Send it out by 4:55 PM SGT on 30^th May 2019, Thursday – 5 minutes before the toss!!
